by Niklas Richardson 10:22 am Thursday, 28 September 2006.

Sorry to blog this again, but it was suggest that being more specific might help!

Do you know Flex 1.5 or Flex 2?

Have you had at least 18 month’s experience of Flex?

Are you able to work in the London (UK) area?

Are you available for contract work to start in the next week or two, for at least 2 months?

If you answer yes to all the above questions please contact me directly at niklas [ at ] prismix [ dot ] com. We will pay industry rates for a Flex developer (£300 - 400 / day dependent on the project and experience).

The projects will be for clients, and mostly internal business applications (dashboard, order processing, knowledge management).

Any experience of Agile Developement methodogies would be good.

Thanks.

Ubuntu Rocks

by Neil Middleton 7:46 pm Tuesday, 26 September 2006.

I just thought I would drop in a quick note - namely for two main reasons. Firstly, My blog's looking a little empty, and secondly, because I have moved to the the drak side and moved my laptop over to linux, namely of the Ubuntu variety.

I am happy to say, that this distribution is cracking. I've tried various distro's going back to around RedHat 5 days, and to be honest they just required a bit too much “work” to get to where I wanted them, but with the recent Dapper release of Ubuntu (6.06) they seem to have got it right.

I am now happily using my linux install every day with very few problems - so much so that I haven't booted into my Windows install for around a week.

So, if you've tried linux in the past but not got on with it, give Ubuntu a try, you never know, you might like it as much as I do.

Anyone else using linux at the moment, or is everyone else a Mac boy these days?
